Broadband Communication System - KROKUS 2000

Broadband Communication System - KROKUS 2000 is a mobile and tactical system providing integrated and multimedia services (video, voice and data) and guarantees quality of service (QoS) due to the latest technologies ISDN, ATM and IP. The system guarantees high security of data transmission and processing due to multilevel encryption. Having been built to standards worked out within TACOMS-POST 2000, the system is interoperable with legacy public, resort and tactical communication systems. Technical possibilities of the system will enable in the future fulfillment of the NCW (NEC) doctrine requirements.

Elements of the system are based on mobile objects: Transmission Shelter (TrSh), Switching - Trunk Shelter (Sw-TSh), Switching - Access Shelter (Sw-ASh), Radio Access Shelter RADASh and System Management Shelter (SMSh). Shelters are equipped with following devices in appropriate configurations: ATM switch, ISDN switch, Access Integrator, Bulk Encryption Device, Multiplexer, Media Converter, Gateway IP/ISDN, Base Station WLAN, Radio Relay, Mobile subscribers' register and Battlefield directory server.

Functionality of the system will enable full interoperability within coalition operations (with narrowband systems - STANAG 4206, 4578 and broadband systems - requirements of TP2K).
